FUN IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA

SCHOOL CLEANING

The importance to learn how to keep your environment clean, starting from the place where you spend most of the day. The school. We try to make the kids feel responsible for that.

YOGA LESSON

Every morning before the lessons start the children practise half an hour of yoga to refresh the body and the mind.

SOLAR POWER STATION

Finally we got our solar power station. There are seven panels which generate enough power to run lights, fans and leptops.

PASTA AT THE SCHOOL!

Italian pasta in the menu- the kids love it!

Benares Milonga. See one of our students dancing!

Isaac Niemand made this music clip few months ago in Benares,
and they recorded one of the scenes in our school playground,
with one of our school finest dancers, Raju.
Featuring "Mate Chai".

Proyecto Infancia

The children of Badi Asha School together with Projecto Infancia made a workshop of photography in May. The kids learned how to use cameras but especially to explore their creativity selecting the images from their reality and of the environment around them.
They enjoyed a lot. Here few pictures from the exhibition in Brown Bread Bakery restaurant.

For the first time Proyecto Infancia developed its workshops in the Asian continent.
In India we realized three different workshops in different cities, collaborating with local associations.
The children involved come from particular social contexts and specific cultural backgrounds. Trough their eyes and by their pictures we have the opportunity to observe the reality from a point of view that we have forgotten, to see the world from a disenchanted perspective.
The first workshop was made in New Delhi with the former street children of Paharganj, in collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust. We worked in a full care shelter home that provide to kids security and a sense of home, restoring the childhood in children.
The second one was realized in the Badi Asha school, founded in Varanasi by the association Learn for Life to give a primary education to children coming from poor families.
The third workshop was in McLeod Ganj in the TCV (Tibetan Children Village), where we worked with kids refugees in Dharamsala from Tibet, separated from their families and far from their homeland. Here they grow up together and learn to be independent keeping safe their cultural identity.
